PLANS UNDERWAY TO REBUILD CHIPPEWA LAKE PARK
New complex to showcase national bands, camping, open-air markets.

CLEVELAND, OH - Oct. 14, 2013 -- Plans have been drawn to rebuild long-dormant Chippewa Lake Park into an outdoor live concert venue with a campground and markets for local vendors. In the works is the “Starlight Stage” hosting 30 national acts each summer, seating 8,000 in pavilion and lawn seats. 300 campsites will be available nightly on nearly 30 wooded acres, and open-air markets will run during the summer months with room for over 100 vendors. Doors for the new three-season park are set to open in 2015.

The managing team behind these plans is family-owned Flying Cages, LLC, whose members have owned a cottage on Chippewa Lake for six decades and four generations. The team brings to this project vast experience in construction and entertainment.

President Scott E. Jones is also President of Cleveland Music & Entertainment Group, DBA “Jerry Bruno Productions.” Jerry Bruno Productions is a top live music provider in Northeast Ohio, specializing in weddings and corporate events and servicing nearly 1,200 events annually.

Vice President of Flying Cages, LLC is Brian K. Jones, master craftsman and President of Suburban Builders and Remodelers.

“I’ve spent every summer of my life on Chippewa Lake,” said Scott Jones, whose parents began their relationship working together at the park in the 1960s. “We’re not just reviving the park and bringing back the live music, we’re going to restore the beautiful land and contribute to its surrounding communities while preserving a legacy.”

In its heyday, Chippewa Lake Park was a popular amusement park and destination spot. Billed as “America’s beautiful family playground,” the country’s most popular bands performed weekly on the outdoor stage and guests enjoyed rides, water sports and dancing nightly in the ballroom.

The park closed two months after Jones was born in 1978, after celebrating its 100th year. His parents built their relationship while working at the park as teens, and his father was born and raised on Ash Street, just steps away from one of the park’s roller coasters.

With business plan in place and grounds layout sketched, Flying Cages, LLC is currently signing on investors to join the development team. Interested parties may request a business plan and more information by contacting Scott Jones at (216) 262-3179 or Scott@FlyingCages.com.
